Our Verdict:
The Sole E55 elliptical trainer could be one of the most impressive ellipticals on the market today in terms of commercial grade feel and performance. Many cheaper ellipticals offer stride lengths of only 14 or 16 inches, but the E55 comes with a 20-inch stride so you work out the full range of muscles and attain an optimum workout. The higher 375 lb weight user capacity also attests to its stability. The higher the user weight capacity, the more stable the elliptical trainer is, and the Sole E55 has the highest one within this price category. The Sole E55 is generally impressive, solid, and well constructed. It comes with features similar to more expensive, gym-quality equipment. You really do not need a commercial grade elliptical when purchasing one for your home, but when you go under the $1000 price range, you will probably be compromising on quality and durability. The SoleE55 is just perfect at a little more than a thousand. It is a heavy duty trainer without the heavy-duty price. |

Customer Feedback-
"All in all I am very pleased with this machine. I can't help but wonder if the e35 wouldn't have worked out just as well but I wanted a little beefier flywheel and I have it." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "The elliptical is well built and I marveled at the engineering expertise when I started putting this together. The designers' attention to detail is noteworthy." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "Slight sound from the dual wheels, the included 'lube', yes lube is written on the tube, cleared it up. Both the wife and I used tonight, it is very, very solid, almost no noticeable side to side movement (I am 5-10 170lbs, wife is 5-7 120lbs). Other than the aforementioned noise, was whisper quiet." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I gave this machine 4 out of 5 stars only because of the minor issues I had with the broken bolt and customer service follow-up. Very minor issues but this machine is QUALITY and is well worth the money." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com |
